Vic Demuzere

Go developer and Linux enthousiast at home, system administrator at work.

Contact

I'm a computer enthusiast.

Information technology is my hobby, and I am a passionate Linux user. Having used Fedora, Ubuntu and Debian in the past, I'm now happy to have found a home in the Arch Linux community.

Shortly after I got access to an internet connection, at the age of eleven, I built my first website using Microsoft Frontpage. This escalated and I've been writing websites and other personal projects in PHP, Python, C++ with Qt, Java, C#.NET and now Go.

After finishing my bachelor's degree in Applied Informatics, I have attempted (and sadly, failed) to gain a master's degree in Electronics and ICT Engineering. My inefficient study methods and lack of interest deemed incompatible with the maths and physics courses. I started working as a linux system engineer at Openminds in may 2015.

Favorite topics

I enjoy reading about most IT-related topics, but am especially interested in connecting devices and applications in a secure, fast and open way.

  • The interweb

    (HTTP, HTML, CSS, Browsers, webservers)

  • Open and/or encrypted communication

    (mostly SMTP, PGP and IRC)

  • Networking
  • Security
  • Go programming

Something to discuss? Don't hesitate to contact me!
